The Co-Developer Programme is a strategic pathway designed for district and local municipalities, destination management organisations, non-profit organisations, community colleges, and local tourism leadership structures seeking to align tourism with inclusive socio-economic development.
It brings together the disciplines of economic development and tourism management, positioning them as mutually reinforcing drivers of sustainable destination growth. At its core, the programme enables stakeholders to move beyond fragmented efforts towards a coordinated, place-based approach to tourism development.
On a practical level:
- Co-developers are invited to a WhatsApp group where they will receive information and join a community of like-minded people.
- A Co-development workshop is available in different regions across the Western Cape. You will be invited to slot into upcoming events.
- Training is presented both in person in the regions and online via the WhatsApp community.
